So after busting my shins a few times last night I decided I might break down and buy a few items.

So anyone know of where to buy a set of shin guards and probably a helmet. Now that I think of it, I need a set of gloves that will take a few falls as well.

I hope EVERYONE always wears a helmet. Its hard to be cool when you are having to learn to talk again after your head hits a rock at 25 mph.

I agree 100%. Always wear a helmet. Even the most 'meaningless' little crash can lead to a long lasting effect.

If I'm trying to break the land speed record on my roadie or on a trail I always have my helmet on.

But I'll admit if I'm just pokin around the block just to get out of the house I almost never wear a helmet.

If you are looking for a full face, I have a large Giro Remedy (Black) that I'll see for $40. I also have a giro havoc XC helmet for $30. Only worn twice on night rides.
